Welcome to the Maine South Colorguard website! We're so excited that you found us. Our colorguard is an organization of energetic students from Maine South High School located in Park Ridge, IL. Each year we march with the Maine South Marching Band. We perform at all home football games, for both pre-game and half-time performances. We are also participants in the Norwegian and Memorial Day Parades in Park Ridge.
During December of 2001 and into January 2002, our colorguard and marching band travelled south to Florida for an experience in the Orange Bowl Parade on New Year's Eve in Miami. From there we travelled to Orlando where we participated in Disney's Magic Music Days. We got to march around Magic Kingdom and then were privileged to complete Disney Workshops. We then spent several days in Walt Disney World, and headed back home.
We hope to make this year even better. We have a wonderful new group of dedicated performers eager to imporve and move. Think you might want to get involved? Read on!

Want to Join our Guard?: Didn't make cheerleading? Can't be a Hawkette? Still like to move and have fun? Come try out for colorguard! If you are interested in auditioning, please email us. Hopefully we can work someting out to get you involved! The audition process usually consists of learning the basics of flag movement, basic marching skills, and a short dance excercise. Please do not hesitate to audition. All are welcome.
